Geological Survey of Italy Portal

This issue address several topics from the protection  of the geological heritage and of the Italian geosites, trought the interview with Dr. Maria Cristina Giovagnoli, responsible for the Italian Geosites Inventory, to the geological map of Italy  at scale 1: 1.250.000, which represents the first example of reproduction of the geological characteristics of the entire Italian territory on a 3D support. Part of the newsletter is also dedicated to promote activities such as call for paper for developing a valume on "Geological and geothematic mapping in Italy: looking to the future", as well as news on the events of November / December 2018 concerning the world of Earth Sciences.
