Cooperation between ISPRA and Chinese Geological Survey on geohazard

In the frame of the cooperation project on geohazard, a delegation of the Chinese Geological Survey has visited Italy in the last week of June. This is the second visit in Italy that follows two visits of ISPRA experts in China.

The aim of joint research activities is to compare methodologies and knowledge on geohazard assessment in Central Apennines and in Sichuan (SW China) with specific focus on the geological effects of earthquakes. The results of these activities have been preliminary presented in May in China at the MEGE 2018 Conference (http://iaeg.info/events/congresses/mege-2018/) and will be summarized in a joint paper to be submitted into a peer reviewed scientific journal.
