“Discover and photograph the geosites of the italian regions” photo contest
ISPRA and Italian Society of Environmental Geology (SIGEA) launch a photographic copetition about the italian geological heritage. The contest is open to high school students.
Students are invited to share their images that show their own regions geosites, i.e. those places that, thanks to their peculiarities, are able to tell us the geological history of the territory.
The competition is announced as part of the celebrations for the first International Geodiversity Day, which will take place on 6 October 2022. It is intended to be a means of trying to get young people to approach the geological landscape in an active and emotional way.
The contest is free, and participation is possible from the dedicated page on the SIGEA website , where you will also find the regulation. Applications for participation must be submitted by 30 June 2022.
